Saga Medoc AOC Lafite Barons de Rothschild French Red Wine (拉菲傳說梅多克 AOC 羅斯柴爾德男爵拉菲集團法國紅酒) is made from 60% Cabernet Sauvignon & 40% Merlot, which are from the vineyards of Left Bank in Bordeaux, creating a rich, sweet and fruity red wine with a rare tannin maturity and very deep colors to show classic Medoc red wine style. Vintage 2016 has been a remarkable year in the Bordeaux region, similar to mythical 1990 in terms of both quantity and quality! Bordeaux left bank and Cabernet Sauvignon have produced a beautiful success of vintage 2016. Bordeaux does not only represent the wines of Grand Cru Classe en 1855 of great Chateaux and there are many Chateaux from the Medoc region that were not included in the 1855 Classification of Crus Classes, listed as Cru Bourgeois (波爾多梅多克中級酒莊). Chateau de Pez (Saint-Estephe), Chateau Poujeaux (Moulis-en-Medoc), Chateau Phelan Ségur (Saint-Estephe) and Chateau Siran (Margaux) are the best producers in Cru Bourgeois classcification, named as "Cru Bourgeois Exceptional". The Rothschild Family (羅斯柴爾德家族), the owner of Chateau Lafite Rothschild for 5 generations has been associated with the vineyards of Bordeaux in France since 1868 and today owns Chateaux Lafite Rothschild, Duhart Milon, L’Evangile and Rieussec. In addition to the wine production from Rothschild's prestigious vineyards, the Barons de Rothschild have for many years created a range of more accessible wines for daliy drinking. Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) decided to produce something different from Grand Cru Classe red wines in five famous Bordeaux appellations: Bordeaux, Bordeaux Blanc, Medoc, Saint-Emilion and Pauillac. Saga Bordeaux Rouge and Saga Blanc are made from selections of the finest grape in the Entre-Deux-Mers region. Saga Pauillac and Saga Medoc red wines are produced from Domaines Barons de Rothschild’s own vineyards and from neighbouring vineyards. Finally, the Collection of DBR (Lafite) is to become excellent classic Bordeaux wines with immediate charm in commercial style.
