Le Dix de Los Vascos|Chilean Red Wine
Le Dix de Los Vascos (智利拉菲 華斯歌酒莊 十世 2015 智利頂級紅酒) is the highly rated Chilean red wine, blended from Domaines Barons de Rothschild-Lafite. Le Dix, means "Ten" in French. The first vintage of Le Dix de Los Vascos was released in 1996 for the celebration of their first 10 years in Chile and development in Chilean wine industry. Le Dix de Los Vascos premium red wine is only produced in exceptional vintages, for instance, there was no Le Dix de Los Vascos released in vintage 1998 and 2005. This is a wine of exceptional complexity, balance and elegance, with powerful tannins and aromas of very ripe fruit accentuated by spicy notes of cedar, laurel and eucalyptus. It is made from Bordeaux AOC Classic grape varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Carmenere.
Le Dix de Los Vascos is grown in the exceptional vineyard, called "El Fraile", which means "Monk", the oldest vineyard at Los Vascos Winery in the estate, planting 100% Cabernet Sauvignon (70 years old vines) in at 200 acres. The grapes are hand-picked only and sorted by hand at sorting tables. Le Dix are fermented in stainless steel at 30 degree with pumping over to extract great flavours, aromas and colour from the grapes, followed by a long maceration for 20 to 25 days and completed malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Le Dix premium red wine took 18 months in new French oak barrels from Chateau Lafite’s own cooperage in Bordeaux.
